Annual Used Book Sale
The PPEA has hosted a local used book sale for numerous years. It is important to remember that the persons involved in the planning of this event are volunteers. We are very thankful for their willingness to serve. The book sale will take place on Saturday, May 3rd at First Baptist Church, 5495 Park Blvd., Pinellas Park, FL 33781. This event is a benefit of membership as well as a service to the homeschool community. It is with numerous years experience we have set guidelines to make purchasing easier. Please remember that we only accept checks for payment; no cash. Please make any arrangements necessary as there will be no exceptions. As a member benefit the first 2 hours of the sale, beginning at 12:30 pm, is for members only. The general public will be allowed to shop beginning at 2:30 pm. The sale will end at 4:30 pm. No children under the age of 14 will be allowed to enter the sale. You will not be allowed admittance to the sale if you have your children with you. This is for safety reasons and to allow parents the opportunity to focus on making worthwhile purchases. Please remember to be courteous to the sellers. It is simply not proper etiquette to carry around an item all day long and then decide not to buy it when the sale is nearly over. Not only have you prevented a buyer from potentially finding what they were looking for but also you have prevented the seller from potentially selling their book or item. Common courtesy (not to mention Christian values) demands that we put ourselves in the other person’s place. Many people need the money from their sale of last year’s books to be able to buy this year’s books. Ask yourself, “How would I feel if someone carried around my book all day and at the last minute put it back so that I had no chance of selling it.” Let’s all remember the golden rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Please go here for Seller Guidelines, Volunteer information and a Book Sale Schedule.

Generations Homeschool Yearbook Announcements
We NEED your photo prints! We rely on our families around the county to send in prints of homeschooled students in their daily activities. These activities can be schoolwork at home, at co-op, or at a local school (if dual-enrolled or in a private umbrella school); working at a part-time job; volunteering at church or at campaign headquarters for a politician; mission trips and youth group activities; going on a field trip or family vacation, spending time just hanging out with friends or family, or anything else you'd like to send that represents this school year in your students' lives. PLEASE send them as soon as possible to our address below. We are sorry but we cannot accept photos by e-mail or disks at this time, they do need to be actual 4x6 prints. We paste them onto yearbook pages the old fashioned way because it allows us to be more creative with our page layouts. 2008 Graduates, please be sure to get your senior pictures to us before the March 15th deadline! If you need more information regarding senior pictures send us an e-mail at GenerationsYB@hotmail.com.
EXCITING NEWS about the 2008 yearbooks... We are trying to make this year's upcoming books FULL COLOR, but we need help. We need to sell enough advertising to offset the cost of the additional color pages so if you have a small business or know of one that would be willing to support our yearbook by buying ad space or donating, please contact us right away. Ad space is only $25-$300 depending on the size of the ad.We are still selling the books for only $30 each so we need advertising to pay the difference since color printing costs much more. You can also help by purchasing a Family page for $100 per page. Senior pages are available as well for only $50 each. Contact us or visit our website to learn more about these personalized pages! *Words of Wisdom are still only $10 for up to 40 words or $20 for 50 words plus a picture. Don't forget to order your yearbook! 2008 yearbooks are available for purchase now through May for only $30 each! They are nearly 200 pages and will have 50-100% of the pages in color! It's a great deal for a lifetime of memories! You may order through any Generations Yearbook adviser or through the mail. Our address is below. Be sure to include your name, address, and phone number (e-mail too, if possible) along with your check or money order, payable to Generations for $30 per book. A $5 per book deposit will hold your yearbook order with the balance due by the end of May 2008, if you prefer.
Check our website for one last photo date if you missed the other class picture days and would like to be in the 2008 yearbook! We had not gotten confirmation of the exact date at the time of the newsletter printing but hope to have a definite date, time and location for make up pictures soon! We will post it on the picture dates page of our website.
