The PPEA is one of the oldest and largest support groups in the state of Florida. We have been around since 1985 and our founding members were instrumental in getting our Florida laws in place to support our right to homeschool. We have both "HERITAGE" and "HISTORY" so you can feel confident knowing we're here to STAY! We have a stable yearly membership of over 300 families and we look forward to having you join us! After all, our purpose and pleasure is to serve you and to make your homeschool journey the best it can be!
Annual Membership for your entire family is only $30.00 per year! We are a 501 (c)3 non profit organization which means our Board Members serve their community on a volunteer basis. Your membership dues are poured back into your support group and used to maintain and manage our website, to cover the cost of printing and mailing out over 300 newsletters every month (except the summer) and used to help with the little expenses which holding meetings and venue's cost us behind the scenes.
You do NOT have to be a member to participate in many PPEA sponsored events such as our monthly support group meetings, but there ARE benefits to becoming a member:
The Perspective is our outstanding monthly newsletter, just for members. It is filled with encouraging and inspirational tips from moms walking the same journey as you. You will find yourself checking your mailbox every month, waiting for your next issue! It is also your source of information regarding local "happenings", field trips, co-op's, park days and so much more!
Our Annual Membership Directory is your tool to finding like minded families to connect with.
Discounts! Just bring your membership card with you and receive discounts for local and statewide field trips, educational supplies, and buisnesses!
Deals! When you join the PPEA you get a discount when you sign up for the FPEA (our statewide organization) and the HSLDA!

Annual Highschool Conference - to help moms know the law, the how-to's, your rights and the opportunities available to you and your children!
End of Year Graduation! - The PPEA sponsors one of the most beautiful and moving ceremonies available to homeschool families. We spend months preparing for this special event. It is something you and your children will NEVER forget! Bring extra tissues!
Monthly Lending Library - Where you can check out homeschooling "how-to" books, CD's, Audio Tapes and more!
Annual County Wide Used Curriculum Sale! - Brandy Strouse and her team put together one of the most organized and efficient Book Sales in the county. They invest HOURS of prep time so that your shopping experience is stress free and efficient!
Annual Back-to-school Event - Typically this has been a picnic, however we are open to try other types of events that would invlolve the whole family and promote fellowship. If you have any ideas, please let us know!

Monthly Support Group Meetings - Your monthly support group meeting is your personal time each month to get away and get inspired. It is time well spent helping you invest in becoming the best mom and teacher you can be. This is your opportunity to participate in teacher training! County Wide Orientations - are given by our very own Linda Wooldridge, who has graduated one son successfully and is currently homeschooling her teenage daughter. She is your expert on Florida Law, county requirements, portfolio's, transcripts and so much MORE!
