The mission of the Association is to educate, support and encourage homeschooling families in their efforts to educate their children at home and support the ideals of educational excellence; to support parental authority and responsibility for education; to protect and promote traditional families; to pursue diligence in training and development of character; and to encourage freedom among educational alternatives.
The Pinellas Parent Educators Association, Inc. is a volunteer support group for homeschool families in Pinellas County and the surrounding area. We believe that home education is a viable educational alternative. The PPEA exists to help families to homeschool successfully, regardless of race, religion or homeschool option. Membership in the PPEA provides support, communication and educational opportunities, as well as a chance to meet and fellowship with other homeschoolers.
The PPEA welcomes home educators of all faiths, yet all should understand that we are committed to biblical standards in meetings, newsletters and all PPEA sponsored events. All Board Members must sign a Statement of Faith before serving.
